A traditional village house

Description

The house is located in the central square of the historical village "Kinidaros," renowned for its festive atmosphere and liveliness, as well as its recently acclaimed good food. It is situated on the first floor of a duplex building and can comfortably accommodate 5 people on the main floor and the lower floor. The total capacity of the house is 7 people.

On the main floor, there is a private balcony (with a small safety door for children) that overlooks traditional village houses in the classic Cycladic "neighborhood" style. It features an open-plan living room with a well-equipped kitchen, a bathroom, a master bedroom, and a separate sitting area where the sofa can be converted into a bed and there is space for luggage storage. Both the bedroom and the sitting area have access to another balcony with views of the mountains and the central square, where locals gather and children often play. Except for the kitchen and the living room, all rooms on the main floor can be isolated with intermediate doors.

The main floor is connected to the lower floor by an internal spiral staircase, which leads to a bedroom with a single bed, ample storage space for luggage, a master bedroom with a double bed, storage areas, and a private bathroom. The two bedrooms on the lower floor can be isolated with an intermediate door.

Due to the elevation of the area, the house is cool in the summer (though light blankets may be needed at night, which we provide) and warm in the winter. It does not have air conditioning but only electric heating units for the winter season.

It is ideal for those who want to experience the island as locals, as the village has faithful visitors, many permanent residents, and a vibrant atmosphere throughout the year. It is also suitable for those who want to combine work and vacation in a space that is centrally located yet offers privacy. However, it is not recommended for those seeking complete tranquility and isolation.

A few meters from the house, you will find the "Dryades" forest, which is ideal for morning walks, as well as some paths that connect the village to other nearby mountain villages.

Since the village is located in the heart of the island, it is close to archaeological sites worth visiting, picturesque mountain villages, and a 20-30 minute drive from the most popular beaches.
